I too
have thought that this may actually be "the plan" ... not just some
rhetorical metaphor ... but in fact the real possibility of what the Bush
people might attempt to "do" between now and the end of his second
term. You recall that towards the end of the second Reagan term there was talk
of a constitutional amendment to the term limits for presidential office ?
Should
the republicans succeed in rigging and stealing the next mid term elections
just as they have the last two presidential elections ... this would keep them
in majority power and they could indeed at least attempt to do it ! After all the bullshit media circus of
9/11, and two stolen elections ... nothing would surprise me with these guys !
