Excellent explanation...

Submitted by Mario, Canada on January 11,- 10:13am.

Excellent explanation concerning the state of mind of those leaders, and I have to point out from the start that I am a firm believer in an upcoming and huge armed conflict in the Middle East.

I agree with all the points you've mentioned but especially since I put together insane leaders, religious fanatisms and OIL, yes, oil!

All the indicators are pointing toward a crisis in March or April '06.

But why so many people seem to predict things happening around these dates?

The new Iranian Oil Bourse, of course... In the spring, Iran will have the power to sell its oil in Euros, not in American dollars! If I remember correctly, it was a similar challenge that got Saddam Hussein in trouble with the Bush administration and provoked the U.S. invasion.

I honestly think that no matter what, the U.S. is doomed now to keep fighting in the Middle East. It's because Iraq is, and will forever remain a mess; also, because Israel wants the U.S. to keep doing so; and, because Syria will also get involved and so on...

Here are some of the reasons why it can't be any other way:

First, the HUGE, and I am being conservative using such a word, US fiscal and external deficits; the need for the U.S. to be on a permanent war alert status; the need to keep the military-industrial complex running full scale to help fuel their economy; and, the coming peak oil situation on the planet, ... etc.- As you stated, all this is bound to have enormous economic consequences. I personnaly do not exclude witnessing an escalation of violence, with nuclear aggression and retaliation not beeing ruled out... We may be at the tip of a major turning point in human history and 2006 may be a real test for humanity.

The pathological discourse of Bush...

Submitted by Henry See on January 9, 2006 - 15:43pm.

The pathological discourse of Bush and the others you mention is certainly disturbing. I agree that the questions of ethics that you will discuss in your forthcoming book "The Code for Global Ethics" is central.

An element that I have found to be of great importance in understanding these questions is that of psychopathy. The psychopath has no ethics, no morality, and is incapable of it. He can lie with great facility.

What if psychopaths, although few in number in the general population, were able to work together to advance their interests, to impose their valueless view of the world upon others?

It is this question that Andrew M. Lobaczewski, a Polish psychologist who practised under Communist rule, treats in great detail in his book "Political Ponerology: A science on the nature of evil adjusted for political purposes".

The book is the result of decades of secret research carried out in many countries of Eastern Europe. He noticed, in his clinical work, a high correlation between acts of violence and other acts we would label as "evil", and pathologies of various types that were able to be identified in a clinical setting in the perpetrators. An overwhelming majority of these acts were carried out by pathological types. He then began working on the social aspects, particularly in the political process.

Lobaczewski presents in great detail how people suffering with different forms of pathologies work together to subvert social movements in order to impose what he calls a pathocracy. The dynamics of the pathocracy are the same, regardless of the ideology that served as the original banner of the movement, which is why we see the same dynamics at play under communist rule, fascist rule, and, now, democratic rule.

Andrew M. Lobczewski's book will be available from Red Pill Press in the Spring of 2006.

You will find some excerpts of the book at:

The US is certainly on the wrong path...

Submitted by Doris on January 9, 2006 - 12:09pm.

The US is certainly on the wrong path, and hopefully, we can get out of this fiasco, in the not too distant future. History, again, will prove that this was a futile attempt on the part of the United States. I cannot believe how Bush is still able to get the following that he has. The conservative right has overtaken our country.
